Kharif sowing dips 3% to 894 lakh ha despite 81% coverage of normal area
Area sown to kharif crops such as rice has declined by 3 per cent to 894.22 lakh hectares till Julyend this season, even as sowing has been completed in 81 per cent of the normal area, according to Agriculture Ministry data released on Monday.
