Editorial Policy
Smart Khedut helps farmers in Gujarat and across India find farming news, mandi prices, weather and guides in Gujarati, Hindi and English. This page explains where our information comes from, how AI is used, and how you can report a mistake.

How we source news
Our news articles are based on reports published by news organisations. Each article names the original source and links to it, so you can read the original report. Smart Khedut does not claim to be the original reporter of these stories.
We select stories that matter to farmers, such as crop prices, weather warnings, government schemes, farm inputs and agricultural technology. Stories that are not relevant to farmers are not published.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help summarise and rewrite source reports in simple language and to translate them into Gujarati, Hindi and English. Articles prepared with AI assistance are labelled on the article page.
Before an article is published, automated checks look at whether it is relevant to farmers, whether it is complete and whether its translations are usable. Articles that do not pass these checks are held back and are not added to our sitemap for search engines.
Automated tools can make mistakes. If you notice an error, please tell us (see Corrections and feedback below), and always check the original source linked on the article before making an important decision.
Market prices and weather
Mandi prices come from the Government of India Open Government Data Platform (data.gov.in, Agmarknet) and from APMC Rajkot. We show them as published and refresh them up to once an hour. We do not set or change mandi rates. Prices differ between mandis and change during the day, so confirm with your local mandi before you buy or sell.
Weather information comes from third-party weather services. It is a forecast, not a guarantee.
Farming guides
Our farming guides are written and maintained by the Smart Khedut team and cover practical topics such as crop planning, seasonal care and pest management. Conditions differ by soil, season and location, so treat guides as general information.
Before using any pesticide, fertiliser or medicine, read the product label and consult your local agriculture officer or Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK).
Corrections and feedback
If you find a factual error, an outdated price or a translation problem, email us at support@smartkhedut.in with the link to the page. We review reports, correct confirmed errors and remove content that we cannot stand behind.
