MP Uniform Civil Code Bill explained: Key provisions on marriage, inheritance & live-in relationship
The Madhya Pradesh government has introduced the Uniform Civil Code Bill, 2026, in the Assembly, proposing mandatory live-in relationship registration, a ban on triple talaq and nikah halala, compulsory marriage registration and equal inheritance rights.
